'Eating Your Way Healthy' Lecture Set For Dec. 6
Hippocrates once said: “Let food be your medicine and your medicine be your food.”
The wisdom of this ancient physician still holds true today, according to Lynda Nelson, who will give a lecture entitled “Eating Your Way Healthy” on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center.
The lecture, which will be held from 10-11 a.m., is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
“While this doesn’t imply that there is never a need for pills, it does imply that we need to take responsibility for our own health,” Nelson said. “This means learning how to make the best choices about what goes into our mouths.”
Nelson received her medical degree from Loma Linda University in California. She also has a master’s degree in public health. For the past 10 years, Nelson has been director of the local Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP).
