Nutrition Lecture Planned Nov. 5
A free, nutrition class called “What Can I Eat To Help Fight Against Cancer?” will be offered Monday, Nov. 5, at Takoma Regional Hospital.
The 30-minute class will be held from 12-12:30 p.m. in the Greeneville Room, located on the second floor of the hospital.
Dietitian Dawn Wright will teach the class.
“Takoma is offering a series of nutrition classes that will focus on improving health through dietary changes,” Wright said. “At Monday’s class, we will talk about how what you eat can actually help prevent cancer.”
Upcoming classes include:
• Jan. 7 – “How Can I Lose Weight?”
• Feb. 4 – “How Can I Get My Blood Cholesterol And Triglycerides Down With Food?”
• March 4 – “Where Is Sugar Hiding In Foods?”
Participants may bring their lunches to the lectures. For more information, please call Wright at 798-8120.
