Dr. Brooks Morelock Joins Hospitalists
Dr. Brooks Morelock has joined Takoma Regional Hospital as a hospitalist.
Dr. Morelock, who was born at Takoma and raised in Greeneville, received his medical degree from the James Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He performed his internal medicine internship and residency at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga. He also performed an accelerated internal medicine internship at James Quillen College of Medicine.
Dr. Morelock served in the Army as chief of the internal medicine clinic/internal medicine teaching facility at the Medical College of Georgia, teaching medical students at Dwight David Eisenhower’s Army Medical Center. He also was chief of internal medicine for the Multi-National Division North, and served as the only internal medicine doctor in Bosnia-Herzegonivia at the 249th General Hospital under the command of the 3rd Infantry Division and the 82nd Airborne Eagle Base, Tuzula.
Dr. Morelock is a member of the American College of Physicians.
He lives in Greeneville with his wife, Beth, and his stepdaughter, Kayleigh Armstrong, who attends Eastview Elementary School. Dr. Morelock is an avid scuba diver and precision target shooter. They attend Lighthouse Assembly of God Church.
