GREENEVILLE, TN – Takoma Regional Hospital has won a Premier Supply Chain Excellence Award, which recognizes superior supply expense performance.
“Achieving and sustaining strong supply chain performance is essential to a healthy bottom line, which ensures that we can continue to be the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care,” Daniel Wolcott, Takoma’s president and CEO, said.
David Wente, director of materials management, accepted the award June 7 at the Premier Annual Breakthrough Conference and Exhibition in Nashville. This is the third year that Takoma has won the award.
“David and his staff work extremely hard to implement high-value, cost-effective strategies,” Wolcott said. “I am very proud of them.”
Premier is a hospital-owned performance improvement alliance of more than 2,600 hospitals and 84,000 other care sites across the country. Takoma is one of only 29 Premier members to receive the award this year.
