– A book signing by author Gail Pelley will highlight the annual bake sale by the Takoma Adventist Hospital Volunteers.
The sale will be held from 7 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the hospital’s conference room, located next to the Forget-Me-Not Gift Shoppe. All proceeds will benefit hospital projects supported by the volunteers.
In addition, Pelley will be on site to promote her new book, “Celebrate God: Seeing Him in Everyday Things.”
The book is a collection of personal short stories that “point to the presence of God in everyday life,” according to Pelley.
Pelley is a registered nurse, wife and mother of two adult children. She notes that she draws from all of these areas for the stories in her book.
The book will be sold in the hospital’s gift shop for $12.99, with the hospital to receive a percentage of the book sales.
