GREENEVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Hospital Association has presented an award to the Northeast District of the THA, which includes Takoma Adventist Hospital.
Carlyle Walton, Takoma’s president and chief executive officer, accepted the award as president of the THA’s Northeast District.
Walton was presented the award at the THA’s annual meeting in Nashville in November because the Northeast District raised the highest percentage of a PAC (Political Action Committee) goal.
“Thanks to all of the hospitals for their participation in achieving this honor and I am looking forward to the Northeast District continuing to be a pacesetter,” Walton said.
The 15-hospital northeast district had a goal of $9,577.57, but has raised more than $10,816 to date, according to Suzette Crutchfield, assistant director of government affairs and exhibits for the THA.
There is a statewide goal of $90,000 for the 145 member hospitals, she noted. “So far, more than $83,000 has been raised,” Crutchfield said.
