GREENEVILLE, TN – A free class about how to better control diabetes will be offered Thursday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. at Takoma Adventist Hospital.
The class, called “Introduction to Insulin Pumping and Basic Carb Counting,” will be held in the Greeneville Room, located on the second floor of the hospital. The class will be repeated March 6 and April 3.
“This class is for diabetics who are interested in learning more about insulin pump therapy, or who want to learn to carbohydrate count to better control their diabetes,” Nancy Salamina, the hospital’s certified diabetic educator, said.
Salamina also is a registered nurse and a certified insulin pump trainer.
