GREENEVILLE, TN – Dr. Karin Small has joined the Women’s Center of Greeneville.
She will be accepting new patients starting Sept. 18.
Small graduated from Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit. Her residency was performed at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Mich. She also majored in sociology and minored in chemistry at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.
Small said she became an obstetrics physician because she has a passion for women and women’s issues. “I want women to be empowered,” she said. “I want them to know their options regarding maintaining their good health.”
Small lives in Greeneville with her husband Christopher and their newborn son, Elijah.
As a new mom, Small also has a special connection with pregnant women. “I absolutely love to deliver babies,” she said. “It’s the most magical thing in the world.”
She also enjoys helping women overcome medical problems such as incontinence. “I want them to know they don’t have to live with it,” Small said.
Small is fluent in Spanish, having studied the language in college, as well as working in Mexico for one year as a student missionary.
Appointments with Small may be made by calling the Women’s Center of Greeneville at 636-2300. The center is located at 1021 Coolidge St., Suite 2.
