GREENEVILLE, TN –
A lecture on the benefits of fresh produce for diabetics will be held Thursday, June 3, at Takoma Regional Hospital
The event will be held in the hospital’s Everett and Carolyn Coolidge Volunteer Conference Center at 6 p.m. as part of the monthly diabetic support group meeting.
Melissa Whitson of Rural Resources and the Mobile Farmers Market will be guest speaker.
“Fresh produce doesn’t have all of the chemicals that processed vegetables have” Louisa Hammer, Takoma Regional’s certified diabetic educator, said. “There’s great benefit in eating fresh produce.”
