Takoma Regional Hospital Pharmacist Sam Thomas ill discuss medicines used to treat diabetes on Thursday, April 8.
Thomas will be guest speaker for the hospital’s monthly diabetic support group. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Everett and Carolyn Coolidge Volunteer Conference Center.
“I’m very excited about what we’re doing at Takoma to control blood sugars for our inpatients, so I will talk about our program and how it is proving to be very successful,” Thomas said.
Thomas graduated from East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee’s Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. He recently was chosen as “Best Pharmacist” in the Greeneville Sun’s annual “People’s Choice Awards.”
