GREENEVILLE – About 80
local nurses were honored recently by Takoma Adventist Hospital with a special “Nurses Night Out” banquet.
The event, which was held May 6 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, featured a buffet dinner, special entertainment, several speakers, vendors and door prizes. The event was held on National Nurse’s Day, and was held in conjunction with National Nurse’s Week, which was May 6-12.
“This was a fun way to pamper our local nurses,” Vickie Stills, administrator of Takoma Home Health Services, said. “We wanted to show them our appreciation for their hard work."
Nancy Earp, a nurse at Wellington Place, won the grand prize of a $1,000 trip for two to anywhere in the Continental United States, Stills said.
The event was so successful that it will be offered as an annual event, Stills said.
