Daniel Wolcott Named President/CEO Of Takoma Regional

Daniel Wolcott has been named president and CEO of Takoma Regional Hospital effective August 3, 2009.  He currently serves as vice president for Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial (FHOM), a 205-bed hospital, and as the administrator for Florida Hospital Oceanside, a 119-bed campus of FHOM both based in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Wolcott has made significant contributions to Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial since 2004.  He has proven success at leading teams to achieve top quartile quality metrics, growing revenue, improving employee satisfaction and achieving sustainable profitability. Wolcott has extensive experience building and maintaining physician relationships as demonstrated by the growth of several service lines, including primary care and inpatient rehabilitation.  In addition, he has been instrumental in the $270 million construction of a replacement hospital for Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial which will open in July with 277 beds.

“Daniel is sharp and comes with relevant and important healthcare administration experience to lead Takoma Regional,” said Jimm Bunch, president/CEO of the Adventist Health System Appalachia Region and board chairman for Takoma Regional Hospital. “This is not only evident by his accomplishments, but through his commitment to our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ to all those we serve.”

Prior to his position as vice president/administrator at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial, Wolcott served from 2001-2004 as director of patient financial services. He also held that same title from 1997-2001 at Emory-Adventist Hospital in Smyrna, Georgia.

Wolcott holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Georgia State University.  He also has a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing from Southern Adventist University.

“My wife and four children believe the Lord has led us to the Greeneville community.  We are excited to be part of the Takoma Regional employee family,” Wolcott said.  “I look forward to fostering strong partnerships with board members, physicians, employees, community leaders and members as we grow our hospital together.”

Takoma Regional is jointly owned by Wellmont Health System and Adventist Health System, which owns 37 hospitals in ten states.
