GREENEVILLE – Tom VandenHoven was recently named chief financial officer at Takoma Regional Hospital, bringing years of experience in sound fiscal management to Greene County’s community hospital.
VandenHoven comes to Takoma Regional from Porter and Avista Adventist hospitals in the Denver area, where he served as the controller and director of finance. VandenHoven joined Adventist Health System’s corporate offices in 1999.
A licensed certified public accountant, VandenHoven received a bachelor’s degree in administration with a concentration in accounting from Walla Walla College in College Place, Wash. He earned a master’s degree in taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
“We’re excited about the expertise Tom brings to the leadership team here at Takoma Regional,” said Carlyle Walton, president and chief executive officer of the hospital. “It’s important that we serve as good stewards of the hospital’s resources because we exist to serve the community, and Tom has years of experience in sound hospital stewardship. He has already made a difference in his short time at Takoma Regional.”
