Takoma Pharmacist Sam Thomas To Discuss Troublesome Medicines At Roby Center
Some medicines are problematic for older adults, even in normal dosages.
Sam Thomas, a pharmacist at Takoma Regional Hospital, will discuss these medicines and what older adults can do to prevent problems in a lecture Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 10 a.m. Reservations are not required.
“These are medicines that, even at a normal dosage, have a history of causing problems in the elderly,” said Thomas, who graduated from the University of Tennessee’s College of Pharmacy.
He has worked as a pharmacist at Takoma for the past 10 years.
