At Senior Care, we want to provide a special place of safety and comfort designed to promote healing. Our daily programs feature:
- Scheduled activities designed to meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs
- Individual and family therapy offered on an as-needed basis
- Free time to allow patients to pursue their own interests between scheduled activities
Time for family and friends
Visiting with friends and family is an important part of treatment at Senior Care. All visitors are asked to sign in and out and follow visiting hours as much as possible. Visitors are also encouraged to schedule their time so as not to conflict with any recommended group activities, which are often a part of our therapeutic program.
At Takoma Regional Hospital, our goal is to extend the healing ministry of Christ by caring for all those who are ill. At no place in our hospital is this more apparent than in our Takoma Senior Care program.
A special psychiatric inpatient unit designed for older adults, Senior Care is staffed by:
- A psychiatrist
- A nurse practitioner
- A licensed clinical social worker
- Nursing associates
- Activity associates
