Volunteers
The Volunteers of Takoma Adventist Hospital were organized in 1977. Since that time, hundreds of men, women, and students have given their time and energy to the hospital. On May 1, 2007, the hospital became Takoma Regional Hospital, and as it grows, it will need more volunteers than ever.
Some of the continuing projects sponsored by the volunteers are:
Patient and Guest Ambassador Program: Volunteers greet and visit patients admitted to Takoma Regional Hospital to welcome them and facilitate assistance for any questions or needs. Volunteers also escort patients and visitors to their destinations throughout the hospital
Operation of the Forget-Me-Not-Shoppe, the hospital gift shop. Volunteers serve as buyers, clerks, decorators, bookkeepers and financial advisors to make this a tremendously successful gift shop
