Dr. Gregory Uhl To Discuss Diabetes-Heart Disease Connection

GREENEVILLE, TN  –  Dr. Gregory Uhl will discuss the connection between diabetes and heart disease Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. at Takoma Regional Hospital.

Dr. Uhl, a cardiologist with Cardiovascular Associates, will offer ways for diabetics to lower their risk of heart disease and improve their overall heart health, according to Louisa Hammer, diabetic educator for Takoma Regional.

“Good diabetes management and heart health go hand in hand, which means that in order to take the best care of your heart, your diabetes needs to be well controlled,” Hammer said. “It works both ways.”

The meeting will be held in the Everett and Carolyn Coolidge Volunteer Conference Center. Diabetic friendly refreshments will be served. For more information, please call Louisa Hammer at 636-0308.
